VIOLA

Viola Favarato is a young Italian photographer living between Venice and Treviso. She developed an interest in photography at age 14 when she received her first camera, using it mainly to photograph her friends.

With a natural talent for realistic drawing and raised in a family of artists, she began her university studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, initially pursuing a degree in Painting. However, after a year, she shifted her focus to New Art Technologies, specializing in Graphic Design while also developing a keen interest in photography and video. During her undergraduate studies, she participated in several competitions, notably winning the "Soroptimist" competition in 2022 with a photographic project on the impact of food styles on environmental sustainability. She also partecipated at the Venice International Photography (VIP) Festival in both 2022 and 2023 editions, gaining valuable experience in the photography world.

Viola graduated with Cum Laude in February 2024. She is currently focused on black-and-white street photography and works with Pick’A Pic, an agency she co-founded with her photographer colleagues in the summer of 2024. Her intent is to capture the subtle, often overlooked moments of daily life, aiming to convey the emotions present at the time of shooting with a realistic yet romantic and nostalgic atmosphere. She enjoys imagining stories for her images and pairing them with music.
